My name is Eric Smith and I am a Flash designer and developer working under the name Blueflame Development. My specialty is building creative Flash-based products, including video games, mini sites, and rich internet applications.
First of all, let's get one thing straight. I said I'm a designer and a developer. There is a great rift in this industry between those two groups. Let me be the first to tell you that this rift doesn't have to exist. My passion for creating beautiful, fully interactive work extends through both sides. I have a strong belief that any boundries we have are self-imposed, including the claim that "I'm not creative", or "I don't have the patience for code". There is satisfaction to be found in both of these equally-important roles, and I plan on conquering them both.
<-->My focus tends to rest on the casual games market. This industry is brand new, creating loads of new creative opportunities, from Flash to XBox Live Arcade to the WiiWare. I am currently employed by Sony Online Entertainment as a developer for a PS3/PC game called "The Agency".
I have built a Mario-style platform game engine based on the Box2D physics engine. If you would like more info about it, please check out my blog, or contact me.
